1. Happy girls are the prettiest. I know this sounds cliche, but it's true. It's not about your outward appearance. It is about your personality. No one wants to be around someone who is negative all the time. Be happy.
2. Health is important. It's important for girls to have proper hygiene. If you're not getting it, then talk to someone who can help.
3. Take care of yourself. Many of us are so busy all the time and are always helping other, but sometimes you just need to take some time to yourself. Take a day off school, go for a walk or drive, talk to someone do what you need to do for yourself to feel better.
4. Be active. This is a great way to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Their are so many ways to be active here in Portland. There are many outdoor activities or sports available for people of all ages to participate in.
5. Participate in activities. Get involved, whether that's in your community, at school, at church find something that you can become a part of.
6. Popularity is over rated. Another cliche, but it's so true. Find a group of friends that make you feel good and have a positive influence. If that is with the "popular" kids then great, but if it's not that's not important. Don't try and be friends with people who you don't fit in with or who don't make you a better person. Find your group without the influence of popularity.
7. Be yourself. So often girls try and be something they are not to fit it. It's important to have a strong sense of who you are. Don't conform to society. You do you.
